My pastor’s infamous line for the last couple of weeks on his series on the Armor of God has been….”You don’t fight your battles by cussin’ people out!” 😳It’s true 😅Because your battles aren’t against people….🤔Ephesians 6:12 states, “For we do not wrestle/struggle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”The same can be said about a disruptive or disrespectful student.I am not wrestling/struggling with an 11-year-old! 🤣But am I wrestling/struggling against trauma, neglect, poverty, offense, jealousy, abuse, discrimination, social barriers, learned helplessness, lack of constructivism…..maybe? 🙇🏾‍♀️All of these things have NOTHING to do with me and everything to do with what we are CONSTANTLY at war with….even in the classroom. 👩🏾‍🏫Ephesians 6 doesn’t stop there. It continues on and says put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD…because if your enemies aren’t carnal, your weapons shouldn’t be either. 🛡️
